What can I do to help?

The Reality of Our Journey

How You Can Help Build Our Future

As a not-for-profit organisation driven by mission rather than profit, our path is paved with unique challenges. We operate within a landscape where securing sustainable funding is a constant hurdle, as both local and national funding streams are often designed for larger, statutory bodies, and can be difficult for community-rooted, independent organizations like ours to access. This reality directly impacts our other vital needs: the challenge of attracting and retaining the passionate volunteers who are the lifeblood of our work, and the rising costs of securing a physical home—a safe and welcoming space for our meetings and support groups. Despite these constraints, our commitment to the community affected by BPD remains unwavering. We are creatively navigating these challenges because we believe the work is too important to be halted by a lack of resources.

You can be the catalyst that helps us overcome these hurdles and expand our vital work. Your support, in any form, makes a tangible difference:

  • Become a Sustaining Force: Consider making a regular monthly donation. Even a small, consistent contribution provides predictable funding we can count on, allowing us to plan for the future with confidence.

  • Lend Your Time and Talent: Join us as a volunteer. Whether you can offer a few hours a week, share professional skills like marketing or fundraising, or help facilitate a support group, your time directly powers our mission.

  • Offer a Safe Haven: Do you have access to a community hall, a quiet room in a office building, or another suitable space? Donating or subsidising the cost of a meeting space for a few hours a week would alleviate one of our most significant operational burdens.

  • Amplify Our Voice: Become an advocate. Follow us on social media, share our posts, and tell your friends and family about our work. Helping us raise our profile attracts more supporters and connects us to those who need our help most.

Together, we can ensure that no one affected by BPD has to face their challenges alone. Your partnership allows us to build a stronger, more resilient community.
